This is a great idea from Leo Burnett.
DirecTV is trying to increase their customer base. To do this they want to spread the word ‘now you can enjoy the game as if you are there’ with DirecTV variety of HD channels. In order to do so, they created custom 3D ads to place in restrooms. The goal of the ambient promotional was to make potential customers really “feel” the game. By placing real sports balls within the ads, a 3D effect was brought to the promotion.
Definitely a cool promotion!
