graffiti gets gigantic

Saw this in the metro and thought the idea of massive graffiti could be amazing.

Graffitti artists begin working on what is set to be the UK’s largest street art project on August 17, 2011 in Bristol, England. The See No Evil art project on Nelson Street in Bristol will see several multi story buildings in the street covered with art.

The event in Bristol will be kicking off with a Block Party, an event featuring bands, DJs,  street theatre as well as show casing the largest graffiti Bristol has ever seen.

Using ten multi-storey buildings as their canvases, artists have descended on Bristol city centre for the event. Among those taking up residency for the See No Evil event is LA artist El Mac and New York-based muralist Tats Cru – whose aerosol work is credited with having changed the perception of graffiti as art.
